KIPPA-RING LIONS CLUB

We serve our community in many different ways. We have won the Redcliffe Bayside Herald's Business Achiever Award six times since 2003, in the Community Service/Not for Profit organisation category.

  1. Collecting, cleaning, fixing & exporting used eyeglasses through Recycle for Sight to many local and overseas destinations;
  2. Running the weekly Community Markets at the Redcliffe Showgrounds; stalls available at low cost, assisting the community to help themselves;
  3. Managing several local Council community centres;
  4. Participating in the Community Visitor scheme - a government-funded program to provide companionship & outings to isolated residents of aged-care homes

You can help us too! Experience the joy of helping your Community, along with having fun, companionship & entertainment.

Be part of our team at Kippa-Ring Lions!

Lions - We serve our community

We meet the needs of our local communities and the world. Currently, our Recycle for Sight program is in the process of finalising arrangements to send eyeglasses to the people of Timor-Leste.

Worldwide, our 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.

Join us in making our communities and the world better places to live.

Community Service

Lions are people who get involved in humanitarian efforts locally, nationally, and internationally. Every person's effort is appreciated, whether big or small. We all work together to achieve common goals.

People like you can find community service and volunteer opportunities in Lions through:

  • Mentoring to youth & others
  • Leadership Development
  • Visiting & providing companionship to the elderly
  • Fundraising for disaster relief
  • Assisting with eyeglass recycling
  • Helping with catering & other roles at the weekly Community markets
  • Building your own work experience, and helping others to do the same
